Men exploring Franciscan religious life, ages 18-35: Discernment Visits are not so much retreats as they are active experiences of the Franciscan life. Visits include sharing in the brothers' prayer routine, meals, and works of mercy. Not everyone can fit their schedule to our "posted" discernment weekends, or "Come&See". If you need to request a different time that you can get off of work/school to visit us, go ahead and email me with your possible dates, and we will check our schedule and see what is possible.

The Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes welcomes attendees to a morning of exploring the landscape of spirituality with other women from the community. This event will invite women to pause and reflect on their personal journeys, both the joys and the struggles, and to acknowledge the grace that has guided them along the way. Together, we will explore how we can walk into tomorrow with trust, supported by one another and a love much greater than ourselves, and strengthened by the wisdom and courage that resides within. The breakfast will provide a sacred space to explore the themes of fear and faith, the challenges of change, and the power of shared stories. As we stand on the edge of what is to come, we will embrace the possibility that the future is not something to fear, but something to face with integrity and a heart full of hope.

This program offers a space for contemplation, not only through the mind but through the body and spirit as well. Rooted in ancient traditions, this will truly be a practice of connecting not only to the self but also to the collective. It will remind us that everything is interconnected and exists here in the present moment. “There is no healing or transformation without connection.” (-Joanna Macy; World as Lover, World as Self). Tying the breath, community, nature, compassion, presence, and oneness together brings about a sense of purpose and peace. Our hour of practice will consist of meditation and movement, guided by Zoya, on the themes of interdependence and community, loving kindness and compassion, and the present moment. Join us at Yoga for Peacemaking, meeting the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. All are welcome for this free, beginner-friendly program. Blocks, straps, and mats are provided.

Are you looking for a community with whom you can pray, reflect, and discern God’s call? Join the Women’s Vocation Discernment Group, which offers a safe space for women to listen to God’s call and discern how to respond. This online group is open to women discerning a vocation to single, married, or consecrated life. Through prayer, reflection, and conversation, women will be supported in their listening and discernment by a small team of religious sisters and lay persons reflecting a variety of vocational calls. Our experience is that discerning in a community is more fruitful and life-giving than discerning on your own. It can feel complicated and challenging to figure out what it is that God is calling us to, and then to take the next steps. Let's do the discernment together!

When: Biweekly, Sunday evenings, 7:30pm-9pm Starting February 16th Where: Online via Zoom

What is a Jubilee Year? In the Catholic Church, the concept of Jubilee or ‘Holy Year’ was used to declare special years for forgiveness and reconciliation. The 2025 Jubilee, which has the theme of “Pilgrims of Hope” will be a year of hope and trust for a world suffering the impacts of war, the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the increased threats to the climate. Intended as a time of conversion and emphasis on God’s mercy and forgiveness of sins, the Jubilee of Hope will begin in December 2024 with Pope Francis opening the “holy door” in St. Peter’s Basilica. Holy Doors at each of the four papal basilicas in Rome are destination points for pilgrims, who pass through seeking special graces. (Source: Catholic Bishops Conference) Mornese Pilgrimage will allow pilgrims to visit and pray... the humble beginnings of St. Mary Mazzarello and the First group of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (Salesian Sisters) in Mornese and visit the place St. John Bosco worked with his boys and built a Church to honor Mary Help of Christians in Turin. Important Information Date: July 19 - August 4, 2025 Cost: $3,999 per person (includes daily breakfast, transportation (land), accommodation, entrance fees, registration for the week of Youth Jubilee, Priest who will accompany us in our pilgrimage, Salesian Tee-shirt) $1,000 Registration fee is needed to secure your place (nonrefundable) Formation in preparation for the pilgrimage (hybrid: in-person and Zoom) Possible holy places to visit: Mornese, Nizza, Turin, Milan, Siena, Florence, Orvieto, Assisi, Subiaco, Monte Cassino, and Rome (depending on the budget.) Our Brothers, along with staff at the Mardyke House Community, at the heart of Cork City, Ireland run the L.E.A.F. PROJECT. The Leadership, Education and Formation Project is a new ministry focused on helping young adults increase their knowledge of the Catholic faith and developing young faith leaders for the future. The Mardyke House Community in collaboration with the Diocese of Cork and Ross, the UCC Chaplaincy team and other faith groups has become a hub for young adult ministry and evangelisation.

Each year will offer a number of places in our Community to young Catholic men (20-35), who wish to spend a year intentionally discerning their vocation in life while living in the context of a religious community. If you are a young man considering your call in life, spending this time as part of an intentional community of discernment, may be exactly what you need to deepen your relationship with Christ and discern where the Lord is calling you. Prayer, formation and living the Presentation community life and mission are part of this experience.

It is open to single young Catholic men who wish to spend a year intentionally discerning vocation and growing in their Catholic faith. Participants may be college students, workers or volunteers.

The year will involve experiences of prayer (Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, the Liturgy of the Hours, Rosary), living in community, spiritual accompaniment, input that focuses on the beauty and richness of the Catholic faith, and voluntary ministry in service of the mission of the community. Beyond studies or work, participants will need to commit priority time to the formation programme and community experience. Therefore, to provide for this focus, those taking part will be asked to commit to a ‘dating fast’ while they are part of the community. During the year, participants in the programme gain a unique insight into the life, charism and mission of the Presentation Brothers. Participants are also invited to consider the Presentation way of life as part of their discernment.

The programme is sponsored by the Presentation Brothers, as a contribution to the mission of faith formation of young people. However, depending on means, participants will contribute a modest amount towards living costs and the running of the community. This will be decided in dialogue with each individual participant. However, lack of funds will not be an impediment to taking part in the programme, reach out to us if interested. Admission will involve an application process and interview.

We believe this year will help young Catholic men grow in faith, deepen their relationship with Christ and discern more clearly to which vocational path, the Lord, in His love, may be calling them.

Come & See how we are called to follow Jesus as Trappist-Cistercian nuns, in community and solitude, song and silence, sacrifice and joy. It’s a beautiful life, to be poor with the poor Christ. Experience the monastic rhythm of life, explore the contemplative’s role in the Church and world, and deepen into the grace that the Holy Spirit wants to give you. Pray and listen, ask and share, come and see!

Seemingly ordinary women and men are often brave and creative, persevering through great hardships. They are heroes, but their lives are often hidden, even in their families, and overshadowed by the culture’s definition of heroism. Researching and telling their stories can be a gift to all of us. Whether you are already deep into such a story, or have just the inkling of an idea, you are welcome to join this community of writers. We will consider various ways of telling these stories and read and respond to each other’s work. Our experience is that discerning in a community is more fruitful and life-giving than discerning on your own. It can feel complicated and challenging to figure out what it is that God is calling us to, and then to take the next steps. Let's do the discernment together! When: Biweekly, Sunday evenings, 7:30pm-9pm Starting February 16th Where: Online via Zoom
